Practice Councillor, American Gastroenterological Association

Rajeev Jain, MD, FACP, AGAF, FASGE, received his medical degree from Baylor College of Medicine, Houston, Texas. He then completed his internal medicine residency and gastroenterology fellowship at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School, Dallas. Since completion of his fellowship, Dr. Jain has been a gastroenterologist in private practice, with his practice joining Texas Digestive Disease Consultants, Dallas, in 2007. Dr. Jain also serves as chief of gastroenterology at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Dallas and clinical assistant professor of medicine at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School.

Since 1996, Dr. Jain has been a member of AGA. Dr. Jain has served as chair of the AGA Practice Management and Economics Committee, and as a member of the Digestive Health Outcomes Registry Executive Management Board, Registry Comparative Reporting Task Force, Payor Policy Work Group, among several other committees and task forces. He participated in the development of the AGA colonoscopy bundle and was co-director of the GO 2013: GI Outlook Practice Management Course. Dr. Jain will continue his service to AGA as practice councillor on the AGA Institute Governing Board.

Dr. Jain’s special areas of interest include colon cancer screening, IBD and pancreaticobiliary disorders. He performs a wide array of advanced endoscopic procedures.
