Moderator: F. Taylor Wootton, III, MD, AGAF, AGA Institute Community Private Practice Councillor

Vicki E. Hart, MPH is president of Hart Health Strategies, a leading health-care consulting firm in Washington, DC. Before moving to the private sector, Ms. Hart was a registered nurse and a Presidential Fellow in the early 1990s. She worked for seven years as a senior health policy advisor in the Senate Majority Leader’s office. Ms. Hart holds BA (English) and BS (Nursing) from Fairfield University and a masters in epidemiology and public health from the Yale School of Medicine.

Sue Ramthun is a legislative and health policy consultant with Hart Health Strategies. Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Ramthun worked as a government relations specialist with Verner, Liipfert, Bernhard, McPherson and Hand, working specifically with the
health-care team. Prior to Verner, Liipfert, Ms. Ramthun worked on Capitol Hill for 12 years handling health-care legislation. She also served as staff director for the Public Health Subcommittee of the Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor & Pensions (HELP). Ms. Ramthun studied political science at the University of Minnesota.

Shana Christrup, MPH
, is a legislative and health-care consultant with Hart Health Strategies. Prior to joining Hart Health, Ms. Cristrup was the Republican health policy director for the Senate HELP Committee from January 2007 to June 2008. In that capacity, Ms. Christrup provided advice and guidance to Sen. Mike Enzi, R-WY, on key health issues before the HELP Committee. From January 2005 to January 2007, she was a professional staff member on the HELP Committee. Prior to joining the HELP Committee, Ms. Christrup served as the deputy director of legislation for the Washington office of the CDC. Ms. Christrup earned a masters in public health with a focus of health policy and administration from Yale University and a post-Baccalaureate diploma in human biology from Oxford University. She received her undergraduate degree in chemistry from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock.
