Overview

As part of the Clinical Course in Viral Hepatitis planned series, an educational collaboration between MedscapeCME and the AGA Institute, this activity is targeted at providing clinicians who manage viral hepatitis with timely, comprehensive medical education in a variety of learning formats.

This activity will address practice gaps in hepatitis C virus (HCV) screening, diagnosis, referral and treatment, and help change the course of the urgent public crisis of undiagnosed and untreated chronic HCV infection.

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this activity, participants will be able to:

  • Identify and address the needs of more complex patients with chronic HCV infection.
  • Determine candidacy and develop individualized strategies for treatment of chronic HCV infection.
  • Individualize treatment based on virologic response.
  • Evaluate the clinical implications of new data on treatment options for patients with chronic HCV infection.
