Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this activity, participants will be able to:
- Evaluate the use of risk assessment and tumor mutational analysis to guide treatment selection among patients with metastatic GISTs and to predict primary and secondary resistance to tyrosine kinase inhibitor therapy.
- Assess the clinical trial data on first- and second-line treatment options for patients with metastatic GISTs.
- Describe the importance of monitoring patients with metastatic GISTs to determine disease progression, resistance to therapy and the need to adjust therapeutic strategy.
