AGA Tech Summit: Advancing GI Through Innovation

Mark your calendar for the fifth annual AGA Technology Summit: Fostering Innovation and Technology in Digestive and Metabolic Diseases, which will be held in San Francisco, CA at the InterContinental Mark Hopkins, March 20 and 21, 2014.

The 2014 summit will be led by champions of GI innovation Pankaj Jay Paricha, MD, chair of the AGA Center for GI innovation and Technology, professor of medicine and director of the center for nuerogastroenterology at Johns Hopkins; Joel V. Brill, MD, AGAF, chief medical officer of Predictive Health LLC; Robert D. Fanelli, MD, chief of minimally invasive surgery and surgical endoscopy at The Guthrie Clinic, Ltd; and Michael L. Kochman, MD, AGAF, Wilmott family professor of medicine and advanced endoscopic training director at the University of Pennsylvania Perelman School of Medicine.

Featuring a dynamic program, and a keynote address by renowned surgeon and innovator Thomas J. Fogarty, MD, PhD, the summit addresses critical elements that impact the likelihood of success in developing and obtaining adoption and coverage for new medical technologies. Sessions will explore topics such as:

  • The current outlook of digestive health.
  • Issues related to innovation in obesity, colorectal cancer and minimally invasive technique-related technologies.
  • Developments in reimbursement.
