NQF Introduces Tools for Quality Measurement and Reporting

September 06, 2013

The National Quality Forum (NQF) recently announced the launch of two new tools designed to help clinicians navigate quality measures and reporting resources. These tools provide resources and answers to many common questions you might have about measurement, quality improvement and NQF endorsement.

The Field Guide to NQF Resources is a dynamic, online resource designed to help those involved with quality measurement and improvement more quickly find NQF resources that can be useful to them. Resources include a phrase book for terms related to measurement and infographics related to NQF processes.

QPS Version 2.0 is an updated version of NQF’s search tool that allows users to find NQF-endorsed measures, such as measures for colorectal cancer screening and hepatitis A vaccine for patients with chronic liver disease. QPS 2.0 allows users to search for measures by their inclusion in federal reporting and payment programs, to provide feedback any time about the use and usefulness of measures, and to view measures that are no longer NQF-endorsed.

A webinar recording is available for individuals interested in learning more about how these tools can support measurement and reporting efforts.
