Get Advice (or Offer Some) on Securing Research Funding

Aug. 2, 2017

Join Drs. Arthur Beyder and Christina Twyman-Saint Victor in an AGA Community Early Career Group discussion on research funding.

Is research part of your desired career path? If you are currently a physician-scientist — or working towards becoming one — post your questions or share your advice today in the AGA Community Early Career Group discussion on securing research funding.

Drs. Arthur Beyder and Christina Twyman-Saint Victor — two AGA Research Scholar Award recipients who have successfully secured new funding to follow their AGA Research Foundation grant — will be in the AGA Community the week of Aug. 7 sharing their stories and providing tips for writing a grant application, building a research career and more.

For those currently applying for research funding: ask Drs. Beyder and Twyman-Saint Victor your questions. Whether you’re applying for one of AGA’s open grants or another source of funding, they can offer advice on how long it takes to write an application, how to strengthen your application and much more.

For those who are currently funded: share your tips with the community. Following the discussion, AGA will be creating a tip sheet to help young investigators navigate the research funding process, and we’d like to include advice from as many AGA members as possible.

We hope to see you soon in the AGA Community Early Career Group discussion on securing research funding.
