List of DDW® Sessions and Research on the Gut Microbiome Now Available

The new AGA Center for Gut Microbiome Research and Education has announced the list of invited speaker sessions and oral research abstracts on the gut microbiome to be presented at Digestive Disease Week® 2013.

The AGA Center for Gut Microbiome Research and Education, the newly created virtual “home” for all AGA activities related to the gut microbiome, has released the list of invited speaker sessions and oral research abstracts on the gut microbiome to be presented at Digestive Disease Week® 2013. Sessions will discuss the myriad of possibilities that the gut microbiome offers to GI basic and translational researchers, clinicians, and patients.

DDW sessions will highlight new research on microbiome, specifically reporting on its impact on IBD, cirrhosis, celiac disease, colon cancer and more.

Featured sessions include:

  • The Intestinal Microbiome and the Gutbrain Axis
  • Pediatric Gastroenterology: Microbiota, Probiotics and Prebiotics
  • Microbiome in Inflammatory Bowel Disease
  • Fecal Transplantation for C. difficile Disease: Is It Ready for Prime Time?
  • Colon Cancer Risk: Impact of Diet, the Microbiota and the Metabolome
  • Novel Therapies for Infectious Diarrhea
