July 27, 2017

World Hepatitis Day, July 28, is an opportunity to join in on the fight to end viral hepatitis.

World Hepatitis Day, which occurs July 28, is a day for people across the globe to join the fight and spread awareness to end viral hepatitis as a public health threat. Viral hepatitis accounts for about 1.34 million deaths per year around the world. The GI community plays a vital role in helping to ensure a future without hepatitis.

Take advantage of AGA’s resources for this cause. From the HCV Care Pathway to clinical practice updates to patient education tools, there are many opportunities to make an impact. Patient resources are available in both English and Spanish and written at the lowest reading level possible, so patients from all walks of life can benefit.
