New AGA Tool to Help Detect CRC

Oct. 16, 2014

AGA has developed several data-driven clinical decision support tools to help you best manage your patients who are eligible for colorectal cancer screening and surveillance.

Of the more than 50,000 people who died of colorectal cancer in 2013, screening could have saved more than half of them. Gastroenterologists have a new tool in the colorectal cancer fight — AGA’s newest clinical decision support tool will help you:

  • Risk stratify your patients.
  • Understand the options and goals of each CRC screening test.
  • Determine the best course of action based on screening test outcome.

The data-driven tool is based on our guideline for the Early Detection of Colorectal Cancer and Adenomatous Polyps

This clinical decision tool is the third to be offered by AGA in support of CRC screening and surveillance.
