New Video to Share With Your Patients: Why Screen for Colorectal Cancer?

March 7, 2016

AGA patient education video encourages those of screening age to take the steps to get tested.

AGA has released a new video for you to share with your patients explaining why they should get screened for colorectal cancer. The video demystifies the idea that only someone who feels ill should get screened and highlights the positive impact a screening can have.

The video, titled “Why Screen for Colorectal Cancer?,” also demonstrates why getting screened for colon cancer starting at age 50 is so important and provides information on the initial steps patients can take to get the conversation started with their GI. We hope this video encourages patients of screening age to take the steps to get tested.

How to Share the Video with Your Patients

  • Embed the video on your website for current and prospective patients. Click here to copy the embed code.
  • Share the video on social media, whether through your personal account or your practice’s page.
  • Play the video on waiting room monitors in visible areas.

For additional colorectal cancer videos and resources, visit http://crcawareness.gastro.org. AGA hopes you will use these tools to help join and further the discussion during national Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month.
