QPP submission deadline quickly approaching

March 12, 2018

Act now: CMS offers two opportunities to avoid a payment penalty for the Quality Payment Program (QPP).

Gastroenterologists and other eligible clinicians can still avoid a 2019 QPP downward payment adjustment by reporting their participation in a qualified 2017 CMS Merit-based Incentive Payment System Improvement Activity.

If you downloaded and used the AGA Clinical Guideline App from the Apple App Store or the Android App on Google Play for even one day in 2017, you can attest to your participation at the CMS attestation website. Attestation must be completed by March 31, 2018

Apply for 2018 burdens study

CMS is offering another opportunity to avoid a 2019 downward payment adjustment by participating in a CMS 2018 Burdens Associated with Reporting Quality Measures study, which looks to:

  • Study clinical workflows and data collection methods using different submission systems.
  • Understand the challenges you have when you collect and report quality data.
  • Recommend changes to try to lower your burden, improve quality data collection and reporting, and enhance clinical care.

Applications for this study will be taken through March 23, 2018.
