AGA Resources for Your Holiday Heartburn Patients

Dec. 20, 2016

AGA has a full suite of patient education materials on heartburn and GERD so your patients can stay informed this holiday season.

As the holidays near, so do additional GI issues. Between traveling, new food and larger quantities of food, heartburn and GERD can be common problems for which patients seek help from a gastroenterologist.

Be sure to visit the Patient INFO Center this season, which is complete with patient education on GERD, its symptoms and tips for treating it. Download the resources now for easy access to print or email to patients, or load into an electronic health records system (EPIC, Athena, Cerner or gMed). All patient materials are written at accessible reading levels and are available in English and Spanish.

In addition to written materials, AGA has also created a brief video on heartburn that provides information for at-home treatment and information on when to see a doctor. Share this with patients and on social media to help spread the word about these GI issues during the holiday season.

For more instructions on how to share the video, click here.
