Trainees: Spread the Word about CRC Awareness Month

Feb. 29, 2016

Share AGA patient videos, social media images and participate in our upcoming Twitter chat.

March is Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month, which provides an opportunity for you to educate your patients about colon cancer screening and prevention. Since one of the best ways to inform patients is virtually, trainees and young GIs are a critical community for online engagement during this important month.

AGA has created three patient-focused videos on topics such as why to screen, available screening options and questions to ask about a high-quality colonoscopy. Feel free to embed these videos right on your practice website or share them on social media. We've also created dedicated social media images that you can use on your own pages or on your practice website.

Additionally, if you're on Twitter, make sure to catch our Twitter chat on Tuesday, March 22, at 1 p.m. ET. AGA is partnering with Everyday Health for the chat, which will use the hashtag #healthtalk.

Visit crcawareness.gastro.org for more information on Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month, and don't forget to dress in blue this Friday, March 4, to show your support in person.
