About the Instructors

Timothy C. Hoops, MD

Timothy Hoops is a Clinical Professor of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania Health System.  He has a medical degree from the University of Illinois College of Medicine earned in 1981, and completed postgraduate training in internal medicine and gastroenterology at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center.  He has been the Medical Director of Endoscopy and Director of the GI Division at Penn Presbyterian Medical Center since 2001. He is currently the Director of the Gastrointestinal Cancer Risk Evaluation Program at the University of Pennsylvania Health System.
