About the Instructors

David C. Metz, MD, AGAF

David Metz has significant experience in the clinical diagnosis and management of patients with enteropancreatic NETs that stems from his clinical and research fellowship at the NIDDK, Digestive Diseases Branch which focused on Zollinger-Ellison syndrome. Since moving to the University of Pennsylvania in the early 1990s, Dr. Metz has pursued clinical research, patient care and teaching in foregut diseases with an increasing effort in the last few years devoted to NETs. He has successfully completed multiple FDA-sponsored and investigator initiated clinical trials and is widely published in these areas. Dr. Metz is currently a Professor of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine.
