Capsule Endoscopy

Capsule Endoscopy IconCapsule endoscopy examines the esophagus and lining of the small intestine using a small camera inside a capsule. The capsule travels through the digestive system and the camera sends images to a recording device worn by the patient. The images transmitted can be used to diagnose and evaluate a variety of GI conditions. Capsule endoscopy provides images of the digestive system that cannot be captured with conventional X-rays.
