IBD 1: Patients Managed With Corticosteroid Therapy

The percentage of patients 18 years or older with a documented diagnosis of IBD, who were treated with corticosteroid therapy for 60 or greater consecutive days or were treated previously with corticosteroid therapy for 60 or greater consecutive days that had been discontinued for less than 90 days, at any point during the reporting period.

IBD 2: Pharmacologic Management: Corticosteroid-Sparing Therapies

The percentage of patients 18 years or older with a documented diagnosis of IBD, who were treated with a 5-ASA, immunomodulator, biologic agent, or no pharmacotherapy at any time during the reporting period.

IBD 3: Influenza Vaccination in Immunosuppressive Therapy

The percentage of patients 18 years or older with a documented diagnosis of IBD and active immunomodulator or biologic agent therapy, who received influenza vaccination at least 18 months prior to the end of the reporting period, or for whom influenza vaccination was documented as not indicated.

IBD 4: Tuberculosis Screening in Immunosuppressive Therapy

The percentage of patients 18 years or older with a documented diagnosis of IBD and active immunomodulator or biologic agent therapy, who received tuberculosis testing at least 18 months prior to the end of the reporting period.

The percentage of patients 18 years or older with a documented diagnosis of IBD and active immunomodulator or biologic agent therapy, who received a risk assessment for hepatitis B prior to the end of the reporting period.

IBD 8: Live Vaccine Avoidance Counseling in Immunosuppressive Therapy

The percentage of patients 18 years or older with a documented diagnosis of IBD and active immunomodulator or biologic agent therapy, who received live vaccination avoidance counseling at least 6 months prior to the initiation of current biologic agent therapy, or at any time prior to the initiation of current immunomodulator therapy, prior to the end of the reporting period.

IBD 9: Assessment of Bone Loss Risk Due to Corticosteriod Therapy

The percentage of patients 18 years or older with a documented diagnosis of IBD and with 10/mg/day or greater prednisone equivalent corticosteroid therapy for 60 or greater days within the year prior to the end of the reporting period, who were screened for bone loss using DXA at least one year prior to the end of the reporting period.

IBD 10: Medication-Related Adverse Events in IBD

The percentage of patients 18 years or older with a documented diagnosis of IBD, and either: 10/mg/day or greater prednisone equivalent corticosteroid therapy for 60 or greater days, or 10/mg/day or greater prednisone equivalent corticosteroid therapy for 60 or greater days that was discontinued less than 90 days prior to the reporting period, or immunomodulator therapy, or biologic agent therapy; who experienced documented secondary infection(s) or medication-related injury(ies) during the reporting period.

IBD 11: Tobacco Status Assessment and Cessation Counseling

The percentage of patients 18 years or older with a documented diagnosis of IBD, who were assessed for tobacco use, and for tobacco users, received smoking cessation counseling, at least one year prior to the reporting period.

The percentage of patients 18 years or older with a documented diagnosis of IBD, who received a screening or surveillance colonoscopy and had a documented follow-up interval between 3 and 5 years, within the reporting period.
