EMR Integration
The AGA Registry has been designed to include direct submission from electronic medical records (EMR). The AGA Registry offers two paths to system integration.
Reporting using gMed's gGastro v4
gMed offers a full EMR solution for the GI practice through its gGastro product. gMed has partnered with the AGA Registry to incorporate the registry's reporting directly into version four of its system. Practices using gGastro v4 will be able to submit data directly from their EMR, with no additional modification necessary. Moving forward, gMed will directly incorporate updates to the registry into the system, ensuring that gGastro users are always up-to-date with the registry.

Customized Integration Using FIGMD
FIGMD specializes in integrating clinical systems, regardless of their platform, version or specialty. The AGA Registry has partnered with FIGMD to provide a low-cost solution for integrating your EMR with the registry, with no disruption to your current workflow. FIGMD works with your practice to determine how you document care, and uses proprietary software to extract data relevant to the registry and automatically transmit it on a scheduled basis. FIGMD has completed integration projects for more than 15 major EMRs, and is capable of working with new systems quickly. Modest integration fees apply.
A web-based data entry option is available for physicians who do not have an EMR system. While 100 percent of IBD patient data is required, AGA has established a sampling methodology to ease the data entry time for colonoscopy.
