The AGA Institute is committed to advancing the science and practice of gastroenterology. The AGA Institute Research Policy Committee, dictates a comprehensive approach to fostering the gastroenterological research endeavor, including funding for research, support for young researchers and policies that affect the funding and conduct of research. Increasing funding for GI research is a top AGA priority. The AGA Institute journals, Gastroenterology 
and Clinical Gastroenterology and Hepatology , publish the most influential research in the field.
