Awards

The Julius Friedenwald Medal, the highest honor the AGA bestows on a member, recognizes an individual who has made lifelong contributions to the field. This year, the nomination process has been streamlined so that all members have time to submit their nominations by the deadline of Oct. 30.

Only two items are now required for a nomination:

• The nominee’s name.
• A brief (no more than two pages) letter of nomination.

Members are encouraged to nominate their colleagues for this prestigious award, which is presented each year to an individual who has performed outstanding work in the field of gastroenterology and has provided significant services to the AGA.
