CT Colonography 102: What is the Purpose of a CT Colonography? (Spanish)

La colonografía CT puede necesitarse por diferentes razones:

  • Prueba general para detectar el cáncer colorrectal.
  • Para revisar si existen pólipos o cáncer en el colon o recto.
  • Para revisar el colon si falla una colonoscopía regular, típicamente, debido a que el médico no pudo insertar el tubo flexible en toda su extensión a través del colon.
  • Se puede utilizar en determinadas situaciones para examinar el abdomen y colon en pacientes con dolor de vientre o pérdida de peso inexplicable.
