Have a Topic in Mind for the 2018 Freston Conference?

Sept. 27, 2016

Send in your suggestions for the next James W. Freston conference by Jan. 6, 2017.

All AGA members are invited to submit a topic proposal for the 2018 James W. Freston conference. This is a unique opportunity to help determine the topic of this 1.5-day conference and a chance to serve as conference chair if your topic is selected.

The AGA Institute Council is looking for novel proposals covering all areas of gastroenterology, in addition to suggestions for new speakers and innovative conference formats.

Since 2008, the Freston conference has been a popular forum for presenting cutting-edge science from experts in numerous disease areas including celiac disease, Barrett’s esophagus, stem cells, IBS, FMT and intestinal metaplasia. The conference typically attracts more than 100 attendees and provides both faculty and attendees with an intimate environment to share findings and foster collaboration.

The topic for 2018 is up to you. Submit a proposal no later Friday, Jan. 6, 2017. Completed proposals should be sent to Jamie Parreco at agacouncil@gastro.org.

Funding for the conference is provided by an educational endowment from Takeda Pharmaceuticals U.S.A., Inc.
