Meet the 'Honest Broker' in the Drug Development Process

May 4, 2016

Watch this video with AGA Center for Diagnostics and Therapeutics chair Dr. Colin Howden and join us for a session at DDW.

Are you familiar with the AGA Center for Diagnostics and Therapeutics (CDT)? AGA’s newest center is working to enhance the GI drug-development process to ultimately improve the availability and delivery of new therapeutics and diagnostic tests for GI and liver diseases. The center also aims to work closely with FDA as an honest broker between the agency and clinical trial sponsors.

In the video below, you can hear directly from Colin Howden, MD, AGAF, chair of the AGA Center for Diagnostics and Therapeutics, as he discusses the work of the center.

Connect with the CDT at Digestive Disease Week®  (DDW)
Join Dr. Howden for a center-sponsored session at DDW on Sunday, May 22, from 2 to 3:30 p.m. PT. The session, titled “Facilitating the Development of Novel Therapies: Role of the AGA’s Center for Diagnostics and Therapeutics,” will address drug development and approval from the perspectives of the clinical investigator, industry and regulatory agency.
