Malnutrition Awareness Week

Sept. 7, 2017

AGA supports ASPEN’s efforts to raise awareness among health-care professionals about the importance of nutritional care for all patients.

The American Society for Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition (ASPEN) will kick-off the sixth annual Malnutrition Awareness WeekTM on Monday, Sept. 18. AGA supports this effort as nutrition is integral to a person’s gastrointestinal tract and gut microbiome, and can be a key component of care for many gastroenterology and hepatology patients.

Throughout Malnutrition Awareness Week, ASPEN will host webinars ranging from enteral nutrition in pediatric patients to enhanced recovery after surgery. Join the discussion and show your support by using the #MAW17 hashtag on Twitter and Facebook.
