Researchers in North America: Get Funding Now

The next deadlines for AGA research grant applications are Aug. 4 and Sept. 8, 2017.

Don’t miss upcoming deadlines to apply for funding from the AGA Research Foundation. Yearly grants foster scientific discovery and the application of new knowledge to improve care of patients with digestive disease. 
 
Applications deadlines are approaching for the following grants:

Deadline: Sept. 8, 2017

  • New! AGA-Rady Children’s Institute for Genomic Medicine Research Scholar Award in Pediatric Genomics: This award provides $90,000 per year for three years (totaling $270,000) to a young investigator, instructor, research associate or equivalent working toward independent careers in gastroenterology, hepatology or related areas. Proposed research may be basic, translational or clinical and must use genomics as an approach to enhance understanding of pediatric digestive diseases toward prevention, treatment and/or cure of such diseases. The funded research must be conducted full-time at the Rady Children’s Institute for Genomic Medicine in San Diego, CA or at Rady Children’s Hospital – San Diego.
  • AGA-Takeda Pharmaceuticals Research Scholar Award in Inflammatory Bowel Disease: This award provides $90,000 per year for three years (total $270,000) to a young investigator working toward an independent and productive research career in IBD. 
  • Research Scholar Award: This award provides $90,000 per year for three years (total $270,000) to a young investigator, instructor, research associate or equivalent working toward an independent career in gastroenterology, hepatology or related areas.
