Resources for Your Ulcerative Colitis Patients

June 19, 2015

The AGA Institute has developed a 24-page guide designed to give UC patients a better understanding of their condition.

To help aid in the management and treatment of ulcerative colitis (UC), the AGA Institute has developed a guide, "Ulcerative Colitis — An Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD)".

This valuable resource is designed to give patients diagnosed with UC facts about the disorder, a better understanding of their condition and a starting point for discussions with their physicians. The 24-page guide highlights topics such as:

  • Causes of UC.
  • Symptoms and diagnosis.
  • Nutritional guidelines for management.
  • Treatment and more.

This is a free educational tool that physicians can order to give to their patients and the general public. It also helps improve in-office communication between providers and patients about the symptoms and diagnosis of UC.

To order free copies, visit www.aga-resources.com/order.php. In addition, interactive online versions of the guide and a pocket educator* are also available.

This program is supported by a grant from Shire, Plc.

*Printed copies of the pocket educator are not available.
